Rugs are like fashion. They build on traditions that must be renewed. One of Kasthall’s specialties is modernising the traditional. It could be a colour, yarn or pattern that finds a new expression.

Kasthall´s design expression is refined and sophisticated with roots in Scandinavian traditions. With these attributes as a base our designers push the boundaries of design, often combining ancient weaving techniques with modern effect yarns. Over the years Kasthall has received a number of awards and prizes in recognition of the company´s outstanding design. Kasthall also work closely with the world’s leading architects and designers – on special projects or complete collections.

Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg is Kasthall´s in-house chief designer and has been designing rug collections for Kasthall since 1987. Gunilla's inspiration for her design is nature, and most of all flowers.

Petra Lundblad-Fridén is Kasthall's new colourful designer. Petra is inspired by people and fashion.
