The 2010 Stockholm Furniture Fair was not just a chance to show off this year’s new designs, but also an opportunity for several of our existing collections to share the spotlight.

This year, with help from Lotta Agaton, Kasthall created a striking stand that was meant to give a sense of the inspiration behind the design process, as well as demonstrating the endless combinations that are possible with our new and old collections. To give an insight into the path a rug takes from concept to finished product, this year’s new rugs – ranging from muted, earthy tones to rather more colourful and exuberant shades – were presented along with the inspiration for each design. On show in one corner of the stand were classic designs, such as Arkad, Häggå and Moss, and visitors were also able to get a taste of the incredible possibilities opened up by the woven Arkad and Häggå collections. It was a thrilling and popular stand that generated a lot of interest in both the traditions behind Kasthall rugs and in this year’s new collections. The combination of old and new was in short a great success with visitors!
