New owners of Kasthall

Kasthall has been acquired by Karnell, an investment company that invests in small and medium sized unlisted Nordic companies. Karnell is an active owner who, together with the company’s management team, work to develop the companies in their portfolio.

Karnell takes over after the most successful sales development in Kasthall’s history, from 38 million SEK turnover when the previous owners took over the company in 1995, to around 160 million SEK today. Kasthall is experiencing a continued strong demand for its products, both from the domestic Swedish market and internationally. Around 20 people have been recruited to Kasthall in the past six months, and further recruitments are planned.

With Karnell as owners, the financial conditions will be favourable for continued growth and Kasthall will continue to develop its business and strengthen the brand Kasthall.

As part of the ownership change, Mr. Göran Wijkmark will retire as Managing Director for Kasthall. Mr. Ken Petersson will be new acting Managing Director. Apart from that, Kasthall will continue to leverage the extensive tradition, knowledge and experience available within the company, and will continue to consistently focus on designing and producing unique rugs and carpets of the highest quality.
