This year Kasthall offers a thrilling union between dramatic patterns and elegant shimmering textures! At Salone Internazionale del Mobile, in Milan, Kasthall intends to launch a selection of printed rugs for the first time.
Our classic, woven Häggå rug has been given a completely new look with three printed special collections – “Aiko” and “Iris”, designed by Kasthall’s chief designer, Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg; and “Mirrorings”, by Kasthall’s new designer, Petra Lundblad-Fridén. The printed designs give these rugs a totally new look, creating exciting vibrant surfaces.
They also contrast with three further collections by Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg, that combine muted, natural tones with lustrous textures. The hand-tufted “Horizon” and “Mistral” rugs in a shimmering, specially dyed linen create vibrant surfaces that change with the light and when you walk across them, while “Doris” is a woven rug in the purest wool that is inspired by gems and diamonds. Two hand-tufted special collections will also be launched. “Glimmer” is designed by Petra Lundblad-Fridén who, taking inspiration from make-up and eye shadow, has created a glittering rug with an eye-catching irregular shape and subtle pattern. Glimmer is available in four different colour combinations. “Karl” , by Jean Marie Massaud, is a hand-tufted rug that uses a combination of two pile heights to form a graceful geometric design. Karl is available in six colour combinations.
