GOTHENBURG CITY HALL

PROJECT:  GOTHENBURG CITY HALL

ARCHITECT: GAJD ARKITEKTER

INTERIOR ARCHITECT: CAROLINE LOSMAN

Gothenburg City Hall consists of two parts, an older part dating back to the 17th century and an extension from 1936, designed by architect Gunnar Asplund. The new building is one of Asplund's most important works and famous and appreciated worldwide.

Kasthall has delivered both woven and tufted rugs, including 2 rugs of original design of Gunnar Asplund - these are hand-tufted in the Kasthall Atelier.

BESPOKE ESTHER

This bouclé rug has a loop yarn that shimmers in many different shades. The yarn is specially made in our factory and inspired by the close-cropped fleece of sheep. The mix of linen and wool in various shades creates a marbled, shimmering surface. This rug is hard-wearing and has a robust texture. Shaft-woven in pure wool and linen. Esther is also excellent for installing as an exclusive wall-to- wall carpet.
