Åker is a limited edition hand-tufted rug with irregularly sized sections of varying texture and color. Åker utilizes a mixture of linen, wool, and mélange yarns. It also uses different sewing techniques for each color section – cut and loop pile, cut pile, and bouclé pile. The section blocks work in unison to highlight the textures and colors, finding inspiration in the surrounding farmlands of the Kasthall factory in Kinna, Sweden.
