The underside is coated with an acrylate adhesive, to stabilize the rug and extend its life.
It is recommended for all woven rugs wider than 200 cm or larger than 6 m2 in area.

Kasthall recommends the use of a rug underlay for all rugs, and especially for rugs larger than 6 m². Suitable for all types of hard flooring, the underlay features a lightly adhesive surface that helps keep the rug securely in place. It can be used on floors with underfloor heating and is washable at up to 40°C. In addition to enhancing comfort and stability, a rug underlay helps reduce wear and extend the life of the rug.
