Cecilie Manz is a Danish designer known for her quiet precision—creating objects that don’t seek attention but earn it over time. Working across furniture, lighting, glass, and textiles, she refines each design to its essentials, focusing on proportion, tactility, and ease of use. Nature informs her work subtly, through texture, tone, and material.
For her collaboration with Kasthall, Manz followed the same philosophy: no loud statements—only “whispering” rugs. The designs translate landscapes into structure and pile, expressed through a calm colour palette and the understated presence of linen yarn.
The Landskab collection embodies a sense of quiet value, combining refined expression with the highest standards of quality.
"From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to include linen in the composition. I think it is one of the most beautiful raw materials, modest yet elegantly refined. Even in smaller amounts, it provides a beautiful brightness and reflection on the textile's surface."
