Paola Navone is an Italian architect, designer and creative director known for her instinctive and experimental approach to design. Her work spans architecture, interiors, product design and art direction, often bringing together craftsmanship and a strong sensitivity to materials.
Across these different disciplines, Navone’s work is characterised by an intuitive and expressive design language. Her projects often translate spontaneous ideas and gestures into objects and environments, balancing experimentation with a deep appreciation for artisanal processes.
Together with OTTO Studio she designed the rug Doodle for Kasthall, first introduced in 2012. The design began as a free line moving quickly across paper and was later translated into wool and linen through hand-tufting.
With its flowing outline, oversized graphic presence and shifting pile, Doodle captures the immediacy of drawing in textile form.
