ACNE STUDIOS GLOBAL FLAGSHIP STORE

New York, USA

When Acne Studios opened its global flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York, Kasthall was entrusted with producing a series of distinctive tufted rugs designed by British designer Max Lamb. Developed in close collaboration with the brand, the rugs blur the line between textile, object, and artwork.

Rather than functioning solely as floor coverings, the rugs act as sculptural elements within the interior. Their expressive forms and strong material presence introduce a sense of experimentation that resonates with Acne Studios’ approach to fashion — where individuality and creative freedom intersect.

Produced at the Kasthall Design Studio in Kinna, Sweden, the rugs translate Lamb’s artistic vision into textile form, creating pieces that feel as much like art installations as rugs. Within the flagship store, they become part of the spatial narrative — objects that reflect the creative dialogue between design, fashion, and material.
