In collaboration with Helsinki-based design studio Fyra, Kasthall reimagined what a rug store can be. The brand’s updated concept store in Stockholm marks a bold shift — from a more static display to a dynamic design destination. Located at Ingmar Bergmans gata 4, the space is home to Kasthall alongside brands such as Vaarnii, Transparent and other like-minded companies. Here, rugs, furniture and objects are presented in dialogue. Together, the brands invite private customers and professional design enthusiasts to interact, learn and co-create. Inside, Kasthall’s woven and tufted rugs are placed in conversation with curated objects and materials that reflect shared values of craftsmanship, sustainability and longevity.
The execution of the space was led by Linn Hebrant at Yllw with a clear focus on bringing Kasthall’s vision to life while navigating timelines, complexity and ongoing operations.“For us, a physical environment is never just about aesthetics or function, it’s about how space can strengthen a brand and create experiences that last,” says Linn Hebrant, Interior Manager & Partner at Yllw. “This project became a real testament to that — when architecture, function and business goals are woven together, something powerful happens."
At the heart of the store is a nine-meter-long table from Vaarnii, surrounded by soft architectural elements such as suspended rugs and textiles, along with curated objects from partners including Johanna Gullichsen, Arita, Transparent, Vaarnii and others. The modular layout, combined with natural materials and repurposed elements, ensures the entire space can evolve over time.
“By bringing together Kasthall’s high-quality materials and timeless collections with a range of other leading design brands, we are creating a new design destination where visitors can experience the artistry behind our rugs and collaborate on new ideas,” says Mirkku Kullberg, CEO of Kasthall.
The Stockholm concept store reflects Kasthall’s ambition not just to showcase rugs, but to foster conversations. Conversations between materials and designers. Between the past and the future. And most importantly, between Kasthall and the next generation of creators.
