Ängsmark by Ilse Crawford Studio is a light, woven rug in pure wool, where lines of chenille yarn form a gentle geometric structure. Over-dyed mélange yarns create nuanced color variation inspired by shifting tones in Swedish nature. Irregular strands of white wool yarn are woven into the surface, introducing subtle highlights and a gently animated texture.

Custom Sizes and Bespoke

Many Kasthall rugs can be customized in size to suit the requirements of a specific space or project.

 

When size customization of an existing design is not enough, a fully bespoke solution can be developed in collaboration with Kasthall Atelier. Dimensions, shapes, colors, materials, patterns, and constructions can be explored and developed to translate a unique design idea into a rug or wall-to-wall solution created specifically for the space.

Backing Information

Backing is an available manufacturing treatment of the underside of woven rugs only.

The underside is coated with an acrylate adhesive, to stabilize the rug and extend its life.

It is recommended for all woven rugs wider than 200 cm or larger than 6 m2 in area.

Maintaining a woven, tufted, or wall-to-wall carpet from Kasthall is essential for preserving its appearance, durability, and long-term performance.

Regular vacuuming is the most effective, economical, and environmentally friendly method for everyday care, while removing dirt and stains helps prevent fiber wear and keeps colors looking fresh.

Light, solid-color rugs generally require more frequent attention than darker, patterned designs. Following appropriate maintenance routines, as seen in the Care and Cleaning guide, ensures that Kasthall rugs in both private and professional environments retain their shape, quality, and beauty for many years.

All Kasthall rugs are made from natural fibers, so slight variations in color, texture, and dimensions may occur between yarn batches.
