Kasthall introduces the 2024 Tekla collection with new colors that celebrate tradition and renewal. With hues like the soft pastel pink of Cotton Candy, the rich, velvety purple of Ube Ice Cream, and the vibrant earthy tones of Matcha Latte, there’s a flavor for every aesthetic and mood.

Tekla, designed by the ‘Queen of Rugs’ Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg, has always been about life’s festive moments. “I wanted it to be reminiscent of parties, candy, and confetti, and I feel that the thick wool yarn in combination with the bold colors creates a youthful, vigorous, and slightly rebellious vibe,” Gunilla once said. That playful energy remains at the core of Tekla and makes it more than just a rug.

Since its introduction in 2007, Tekla has enriched spaces all over the world. Within a year, it became a top-selling Kasthall staple. The Swedish Design Award honored its innovative blend of materials—felted wool, fine wool, and linen yarn—and its bold, imaginative use of color.
