Birger Jarl Passage, Stockholm

Restaurant Misshumasshu

When Misshumasshu reopened in the historic Birger Jarl Passage, it did so with clear sense of direction. Designed by architect Maja Bernvill, the interior brings together form and function, culture and craft – and a focus on materials that stand the test of time. In the chambre séparée, the only carpeted area in the restaurant, the rug comes from Kasthall's Vichy collection in the colorway Peach Mango. The check feels familiar in a Scandinavian context, something often seen in Swedish interiors, and it works well with the fan-shaped Japanese pattern in the flooring.
