World-renowned Japanese architect Makoto Tanijiri attracted a lot of attention when he built his own private residence. Not only for the building, but for the uncompromising furnishing of his residence. In this environment Mr. Tanijiri choose Kasthall woven rug Othello as the centerpiece of the living room. Othello is originally designed combining three colors, but Mr. Tanijiri ordered a special edition with one color to fit the image of a modern, fresh, but also rugged, old-fashioned atmosphere. The custom-made rug fit the image perfectly, harmonizing with the concrete walls which emphasize the rough texture and fine
vertical stripes.
