Precision guided by hand. Ida is a new woven rug in pure wool developed by the Kasthall Design Studio. Rhythmic and rich in structure, it reimagines patterns from Swedish folklore through the deliberate logic of the loom. Ida’s complex pattern is manually guided on the loom, each colour change requiring the weaver’s direct attention. It is a constant dialogue between eye, hand, and material. The specific design of the rug imbues Ida with a rich, refined feel and substantial texture — industrial craft intimately experienced. Available in tones named for the seasons — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — the design reveals how patterns can breathe, shift and settle like light across woven structure.
