Fåra by Ilse Crawford Studio is a woven rug in pure wool, distinguished by its use of bouclé yarn, which introduces delicate irregularities and a pronounced tactile depth. Woven in a striped structure that exposes underlying wool layers, the surface reveals its construction openly, allowing material and technique to shape the expression. The resulting pattern evokes the rhythm of a newly ploughed field, enhanced through carefully balanced color contrasts.

Backing Information

Backing is an available manufacturing treatment of the underside of woven rugs only.

The underside is coated with an acrylate adhesive, to stabilize the rug and extend its life.

It is recommended for all woven rugs wider than 200 cm or larger than 6 m2 in area.
